actually Stride rite are very good shoes, especially for children whose feet are still developing. Just ask them to buy the right size, then they are free AND great!

Amy, Unless your pediatrician has diagnosed your daughter with specific foot problems, the brand she wears shouldn't matter in the least! What is important is that her shoes do not cramp her toes because they are too small. In fact, the more she can go barefoot around the house, the better!-Susie

Can somebody please tell my exs, both husband & his mother that Stride Rite are not the "be all" of shoes? That the Wal-mart brand are just as good? She insists on putting my daughter in shoes that are too small 'cause she pays $50+ dollars for them and my daughter doesn't get to spend much time at her father's. What CHEAP brands are just as good as Stride Right? I had to deal with them on Beudreux's Butt Paste vs. Desitin Original before they shut up about the darn Butt Paste. Tired of them controlling me, especially since I'm not married to the man anymore!
