Jodi, I love T.G.I. Fridays as well!-Susie

T.G.I. Fridays has a great kids menu featuring chicken tenders, pizza, burgers, pasta and also smoothies, icee type drinks, and regular drinks, too and the atmosphere there is kind of like Chili's, lots to look at, music, and real neat coloring sheets!

In Southern California, Ruby's is a great option. They are a chain of 50's style diners, but with above average food. Great burgers, but also good salads, soups, tacos, fried chicken. Their kids menu is thorough (their mac and cheese is Kraft, for those who will eat nothing but...) and their shakes and malts are divine. Atmosphere is fun and family friendly -- many have trains running on overhead tracks through the restaurant.

Try the Rainforest Cafe. It is a little more expensive than the average family restaurant, but it's delightful theme setting is assured to capture your kids' attention. Doesn't hurt that the food is good too!

We love going to Denny's. In our area, kids eat free Tuesdays from 2-10pm. Two kids free per adult entree. It's a good savings, especially if the kids only drink water or milk. I haven't braved The Melting Pot (with four kids, I can't afford it!), but I've heard it's great.
