Big Dreams

Misty Karam decided early on that she wanted to be a writer. She envisioned herself as a bespectacled reporter, jet-setting around the world, ink running through her veins. Working towards a mass communications degree, she just knew she was the next big thing in the world of writing.

Reality Strikes

Then cupid struck. She got married. And had kids. After enduring surgery and dealing with infertility and difficult pregnancies, Misty couldn't bring herself to put the little rugrats in daycare. So, she became a stay-at-home mom and spent her days cleaning house and taking care of babies. And trying desperately to stay sane! As personally rewarding as smelly diapers, snotty noses, and dirty grout are, something was missing. Her creative side was begging to be nurtured.

Return to Dreams

So, she returned to her first real love: writing.

Misty decided to focus on what she knew and loved: parenting, kids, and family. She was published in Woman's World magazine and several reputable web sites, and now spens her days writing... about smelly diapers, snotty noses, and dirty grout!

Freelance Writing

When she isn't writing about kids, Misty enjoys writing about diet and healthcare.
