Fun Games for Kids: Preschool

  • Elefun – This movement game is excellent for younger children. As the little elephant blows butterflies out of her trunk, children try to catch them with a net. This fast paced game develops eye-hand coordination.
  • Chutes and Ladders – This classic game by Milton Bradley requires no reading. Young children develop counting skills as they spin the wheel and move their pieces up and down the numbered board.
  • Sequence For Kids – This easy to play game by Jax Ltd. Inc. requires no reading and is excellent for children aged 3 to 6 years old. The game uses real and mythical animals to reinforce memory, sequencing and strategy skills.
  • Tell-A-Story – Ravensburger has created this imaginative game for children aged 4 to 8. Children play memory to collect a set of cards. They then use the picture cards to tell an original story.
  • Pooh Musical Hide’n Seek Game – This motorized musical memory game has Pooh searching for his special friends who are hiding inside honey pots. Two to four players can play this game recommended for children 3 and older.

  • Cariboo – Cranium offers this exciting game for children aged 4 to 7. Children go on a hunt to match drawings, unlock secret doors, and find secret treasure while developing an understanding of colors, shapes, numbers, and letters.
  • Cadoo – Another great game by Cranium, Cadoo asks children age 7 to 12 to perform a variety of creative activities like sketching, sculpting and acting. Scool aged children will love this thought –provoking game.
  • Balloon Lagoon - This new game from Cranium is just as compelling for ages 5-9 as some of the company's earlier offerings. Kids and grown-ups try to jump frogs into a pond, fish for letters, spin reels to build a shape and roll dice for virtual snacks. A four-year old who recognizes his or her letters can easily play, but older children will still enjoy it.
  • Operation – This classic game by Milton Bradley builds small muscle control in children age 6 to 12. Children use tweezers to remove small parts within a body without setting off the buzzer. Children will find the Shrek and Simpsons versions particularly interesting.
  • Connect Four – This is another classic game by Milton Bradley that children age 7 and older love. This vertical tic-tac-toe game builds strategy concepts as children try to beat their opponent in getting four checkers in a row.
  • Sorry – Parker Brothers’ Sorry is a great family game of strategy and chance that can be played by children age 6 and older. The whole family will enjoy this simple game of luck and revenge.

Games for Teens

  • Cranium – Perfect for teens age 13 and up, Cranium won the Toy Industry Association’s Game of the Year Award and has sold over one million copies. This game is great for parties as it can be played with teams. Cranium combines 14 fun activities that challenge players to use both the right and left sides of the brain to compete and win. Adults as well as older children will love this outrageous game of creative skill.
  • Eat It! Snacks and Sweets Trivia Game – Children 13 and older will enjoy answering trivia questions about chocolate, candy and snack foods. This game can also be played in teams.
  • Pictionary – Pictionary by Hasbro is a classic game for children age 12 and up. This game challenges its players to work in teams to draw and guess more than two thousand secret words against the clock. Challenges include drawing with your eyes closed! This makes an excellent party game to be played with two or more teams.
  • Scattergories – Milton Bradley offers this game for children age 12 and up. Players have to think fast to think of words that fit in a specific category and begin with the same letter. The game can be played with 2 to 6 players and includes 48 different categories for guessing.
