With the popularity of the Bratz dolls, it seemed a natural extension to move into smaller, cuter dolls – and so, Bratz Babyz were born.

The Bratz Legacy

Bratz were created in 2001, as the latest entry into the girls’ doll market. Bratz were the modern-day Barbie, very hip and cool. These high fashion dolls, with their signature big eyes and glamorous look, were an instant hit with girls ages 12 and under.

Product Extension

What to do when you have a highly successful product? Find a way to extend its life into other directions, of course. With that idea in mind, Bratz Babyz were created in 2004. These young counterparts to the original Bratz line introduced the idea that “before they were Bratz, they were Bratz Babyz.”

Bratz Babyz Story

Bratz Babyz, whose tagline is “The Baby Girls with a Passion for Fashion,” represent the Bratz girls before they became big fashionistas. These little cuties also feature the big, pretty eyes, as well as painted finger and toe nails. Each baby comes with an outfit, a chain with a bottle, a diaper bag purse, a blanket, and their own cute “Petz.” The Petz provide even more opportunities for imaginative play.

Babyz Movie

What little divas would be complete without their own movie? Bratz Babyz, The Movie follows the little tykes on a their own stylish adventure. Most of the story takes place (where else?) at the mall.

Bratz Website

The Official Bratz Website includes fun activities and information about every Bratz product. For the Bratz Babyz line, there are free downloads that require a code, music that includes songs from their movie, and games and fun. Kids can write a review of the movie that gets posted to the site, play "Mall Crawl," take a movie quiz, or play "Bratz Babyz Bling," a Tetris-style game. The Bratz Babyz Fish Tank allows kids to choose their fish, decorate their tank, and raise their virtual pet by logging in daily and feeding and caring for the fish.
